The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR),
National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health & Human Services
(DHHS) is seeking applicants for a Health Scientist Administrator position in
the Center for Integrative Biology and Infectious Diseases (CIBID). The
position advertised is for the Director of the Dental and Biomaterials Program.
This program supports extramural basic and translational research on dental materials and devices, dental implants, biocompatibility
of dental restorative materials, and biomaterials for craniofacial
reconstruction. .
The incumbent will direct, administer and evaluate a portfolio of
extramural grants, contracts and cooperative agreements and will stimulate
interest in and provide advice to the extramural community regarding the
respective research portfolio. In addition, the incumbent will participate in
funding decisions, policy development, as well as implementation and
coordination with other programs both within and outside of the NIDCR.
The applicant is required to
have a D.D.S., D.M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or relevant experience
equivalent to a doctoral degree. The
ideal candidate will have a background in biology or materials science or
engineering or bioengineering or a related biomedical field. The salary range for this position is $66,767
to $121,967 per annum, commensurate with experience.
