are invited for the Chair in Restorative Dentistry in the Faculty of Dentistry,
University of Otago, Dunedin. This challenging opportunity is for someone
looking for a place to consolidate their expertise and interest in Restorative
Dentistry, Cariology and Preventive Dentistry.
The
University of Otago is New Zealand’s most research-intensive university and it
is also the top-ranked university for research quality.
The
Chair is in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation, which is responsible for
teaching the disciplines of Restorative Dentistry, Cariology, Endodontics,
Prosthodontics, Biomaterials Science and Dental Technology at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels. Research will be carried out within the Sir John Walsh
Research Institute and the appointee will have a concomitant appointment within
the Institute.
The
Faculty is seeking an academic leader with a distinguished international
research record, who has the ability to lead research programmes of
international standing. Experience in curriculum development and in the
supervision of postgraduate students is also essential. Applicants must be
registrable with the Dental Council of New Zealand.
